ScopeLine

For solo freelancers

The small extra is how the project goes unpaid.

Write down the agreement once. Every time a client asks for one more thing, log it against that price. ScopeLine shows the gap and gives you the reply to send before you start.

Example: a $1,800 project → $640 in unpriced extras before anyone sends a change order.

Why freelancers use ScopeLine

Frequently asked questions

What is ScopeLine?

ScopeLine is a free scope creep tracker and change order tool for solo freelancers. You write down the original agreement once, log every extra client ask against it, and send a priced change order before you start unpaid work.

Is ScopeLine free?

Yes. The free plan covers 3 active projects with client approval links, and no card is needed. Pro removes the project cap.

Does my client need an account to approve a change order?

No. You share a private link and your client can approve or decline the change order from it without signing up. Once they decide, the page becomes read-only and the decision shows on your dashboard with a timestamp.

How does ScopeLine handle scope creep?

Each extra ask is logged against the original price, so unpriced work shows up as a dollar amount instead of guilt. ScopeLine also gives you a ready reply line to send before you begin the extra work.

Who is ScopeLine for?

Solo freelancers such as designers, developers, writers and consultants who work on fixed-price or scoped projects and keep getting asked for one more small thing.

How do I get started?

Sign up with email (or Google where available), add a project with its agreed scope and price, and start logging extra asks. No card is required for the free plan.
